March was THE biggest month I’ve ever had in terms of income from online ventures – Yay! Here, at Darwin’s Money, traffic was pretty good at around 19,000 page views. I’m a bit off my peak from January, but I’ll take it. At my other sites, traffic was pretty good as well. I don’t report exact income figures but my total take was probably 25% from Adsense, 30% from direct ad placements, 25% from freelancing and joint ventures and the remainder from various recurring ad deals, affiliates, etc. For more on how I make money blogging, check out The Economics of Blogging: 5 Figure Income & How I Make Money Online.

New Ventures!
I mentioned in some prior posts that I’m starting up a new biz with an old college buddy. We’re starting up a CAD Services Outsourcing company. I’m in charge of web, design, SEO and trying to help drive some traffic. He manages all the operational aspects. It’s a nice model. We’ve already landed a few gigs and there are two deals in the works that could each be worth thousands. Thousands of dollars in just the first month in operation! It’s awesome. So, I hope I can report next month that we closed some deals and have some recurring income.
I also have some new projects in mind. I’ve started some outlines for 2 possible new sites and I’ve been mulling over a newsletter or ebook. I have so much to share, but limited time. So, I’ve gotta jot down some more ideas, outlines and think about where my time is best spent. But coming off a month like this, I’m very encouraged by my performance.
And of course – Thank You! Thanks for all the fans and followers. Thanks for commenting, for tweeting my stuff. Thanks to fellow bloggers and the Yakezie network. None of this would be possible without such a great web community.
